Three Year Olds

Preschoolers want to know, and they want to play! They are a font of questions and love to add to their knowledge.  American Schoolhouse loves the magic of early childhood and seeks to meet these amazing little humans right where they are with their creative imaginations and wonder of the world. We use books, nature, art, songs, and fun math games to engage and celebrate their joy and interest!

At American Schoolhouse Academy, our Twoddlers Program is specifically designed to cater to the unique developmental needs of two-year-old children. This pivotal stage bridges the gap between toddlerhood and preschool, focusing on fostering independence, curiosity, and foundational skills that prepare children for future learning.

Curriculum Highlights

Language and Communication Development

We immerse twoddlers in a language-rich environment, encouraging verbal expression through songs, stories, and interactive conversations. This approach enhances vocabulary acquisition and communication skills, laying the groundwork for effective expression and comprehension.

Cognitive and Problem-Solving Skills

Our program introduces activities that stimulate critical thinking and problem-solving. Through engaging games and hands-on experiences, children learn to observe, analyze, and draw conclusions, fostering cognitive development and curiosity.

Social and Emotional Growth

We emphasize the importance of social interactions, guiding children in sharing, cooperation, and empathy. Group activities and collaborative play help twoddlers navigate emotions and build meaningful relationships with peers and educators.

Physical Development

Recognizing the boundless energy of two-year-olds, our program incorporates activities that promote both fine and gross motor skills. From outdoor play to structured movement exercises, we ensure children develop coordination, balance, and physical confidence.

Creative Expression

We provide ample opportunities for creative exploration through art, music, and imaginative play. These activities not only nurture creativity but also support cognitive and emotional development.

Learning Environment

Our classrooms are thoughtfully arranged to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment. Child-sized furniture, accessible materials, and designated learning areas encourage independence and exploration. We prioritize safety while offering a variety of resources that cater to the diverse interests and developmental stages of twoddlers.

Parental Involvement

We believe that collaboration with parents is crucial for a child’s development. Regular communication, progress reports, and opportunities for parental participation ensure that families are actively involved in their child’s educational journey.

At American Schoolhouse Academy, our Twoddlers Program is committed to providing a nurturing and enriching environment that supports the holistic development of two-year-old children, setting a strong foundation for their future learning experiences.
